DOT SAP Services
The United States Department of Transportation (DOT) regulation – 49 CFR Part 40 – defines the Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) as an individual who evaluates employees who have violated DOT drug and alcohol regulations.
An initial evaluation and written assessment will be provided to the employee and designated employee representative that includes treatment recommendations and services to complete which can determine if the employee is able to perform safety sensitive job duties such as operating machinery or driving company vehicles for the employer.
A Certified Substance Abuse Professional is available to assist you at a reasonable rate in developing recommendations to assist with the return to duty process.
The evaluation is conducted by telehealth.
